Washington Invitational Teams


Aurora, Illinois

The Eagles are one of the elite small school teams in Illinois. The Eagles finished last season with a 25-2 record behind the tremendous play of juniors- Will Wolfe and Taaj Davis. Wolfe and Davis are already being offered by several Division I programs. Michael Cruger and Jaehshon Thomas will also be strong offensive contributors for the Eagles this coming season.

Machesney Park, Illinois

David Williams
The Huskies return one of the flashiest Point Guards in Illinois, in 5’10” Sr. Treye Tucker. Joining Tucker in the backcourt will be the team’s top returning scorer, 6’1″ Sr. David Williams (16 ppg). The Huskies will also rely on Tre’Shaun Jones for interior scoring and rebounds.

Lamontay Daughtrey
The Panthers return their top player from last season’s 6’4” Jr. Dylan Branson (15 ppg). However, the big news at Mehlville High School is the arrival of 6’7” Jr. Lamontay Daughtery and 7’0″ Jr. Davion Bradford, who both transferred into the school.  Daughtery is an athletic wing who was rated as one of the “Top 5” players in Illinois’ 2020 class, last season.  Bradford is one of the top big men in the 2020 national recruiting class.

Newport Beach, California

Judah Brown
The Tritons are one of the most athletic small schools in California and 6’7” junior Judah Brown is a name you want to remember! The ultra-athletic Brown soars to the bucket and delivers highly entertaining slams in transition. Solomon Davis is a highly-intelligent wing who can score on the take or with a smooth perimeter jumper. Both, Brown and Davis have already received several DI offers!

Pekin, Illinois

Adam Cash
The Dragons are a dead-eye shooting club that lives for the 3-point jumper! Super-Soph Adam Cash and Max Jones can drain jumpers from anywhere on the court. Justin Taphorn and Brady Grashoff are solid wing man who can score on the drive. The paint will be controlled by 6’7” Sr. Patrick Torrey.

Pleasant Grove, Utah

The Vikings are the first team from Utah to play in the ToC! Led by their 7’4” Sr. Matthew Van Komen, the Vikings will be looking towards a state championship in March. Van Komen is ranked as one of the “Top 100” players in the 2019 class and is considered by many as the best shot blocker in the nation. Van Komen has verbally committed to the Utes of Utah. Kawika Akina will run the offense for the Vikings, while Casey Brown knocks down jumpers from the wing.

Devon Vanderheydt
The Panthers are stocked with super young talent! Six-five Sophomore Devon Vanderheydt is one of the top returning scorers for the Panthers. Freshman Gus Lucas is a big-time prospect with a tremendously high ceiling!

Winchester and Bluffs, Illinois

Gabe Cox
The Cougars finished with a 24-8 record and a regional championship last season and are looking for more this year as they return three of their top scorers. The junior guard tandem of Gabe Cox and Drew Evans was lethal for the Cougars last season! Cox knows how to play the game as is ranked as one of the top small school players in Illinois! Cole Howard will be looked to for buckets inside.  Former Illini Star Andy Kaufmann’s son Andrew will also be a strong contributor for the Cougars.
