BELLEVILLE WEST MAROONS

Belleville, Illinois

E.J. Liddell was named MOP of the Washington Invitational.  Liddell averaged 27.0 pts, 10.3 rebs and 6.0 blocks per game. Lawrence Brazil (12.5 ppg), Malachi Smith (11.8 ppg) and Keith Randolph (10.8 ppg) also were major contributors for the Maroons. Liddell posted a triple/double (28 pts/12 rbs/11 blks) in their championship game against Sam Houston MSTC.

The Golden Eagles were led by high scoring wing 6’6″ Sr. Isaiah Bigelow (23.5 ppg) and 6’6″ So. Silas Mason (9.8 ppg). Six-two Sophomore Camren Hayes (10.5 ppg- 5.0 apg) proved he is an elite PG in the 2020 class.  Jaylan Gainey’s shot blocking ability was impressive in the post.

Jaykwon Walton poured in 24.3 ppg in the ToC and was named to the All-Tournament team for his outstanding efforts.  Jalen Gaston averaged 18.8 ppg for the event and Darrell Bailey chipped in with 10 points per outing.

COLLEGE PARK CAVALIERS

The Woodlands, Texas

Quentin Grimes dominated the competition in the ToC!  Grimes scored, rebounded, passed and blocked shots throughout the week!  Grimes averaged 23 pts and 7 assists in the event, despite playing sparingly in his last game because of the flu.  Shannon Scott fired in 15 points a game for the Cavs.

CONFLUENCE PREPARATORY ACADEMY TITANS

Brandon Fredrick exploded for 108 points in the ToC!  He averaged 27 ppg and also recorded 14 steals in the event.  Fredrick broke the 3-point shooting record with 22 treys in 4 games, including 9 in one game.  Leon Perry averaged 18.3 points and 11 boards in the tourney.

Fred Cleveland averaged 18 points a game for the Lions and was named to the All-Tournament team for the second straight year.  Malcolm Bell averaged 14.8 ppg, while Jadon Williams and Dechaun Anderson each, chipped in with 10 points a game for Leo.

Kendric Davis was a one-man wrecking crew for the Runnin’ Tigers!  Davis was named MVP of the WI with an amazing stat line: 28 ppg, 9 apg and 5 spg. Henry Hampton (12.3 ppg), Chris Green (11.5 ppg) and Marlon Jackson (10.5 ppg) also starred for the ToC Champions from Houston.

Toraze Dobbs averaged 19.8 ppg and 13.0 rpg in this year’s ToC!  He was named All-Tournament along with his teammate, Markese Jacobs who also averaged 19.8 points-per-game during the event. Jacobs scored 37 points against Urbana in less than 2 quarters.

The Urbana Tigers received tremendous minutes from senior guards Corez Anderson (13.0 ppg) and Keanu Duke (10.0 ppg).  Payton Sheen fired in 11.3 ppg for the tournament.  Miller Calhoun battled hard in the paint!
