The Hornets’ 6’4″ Sr. Tony Hopkins was named game MVP as he scored 23 pts and snagged 12 boards in his team’s victory over Illini Bluffs.  Kycia Washington (18 pts, 8 asts, 8 stls), Jamil Turner-Hall (20 pts) and Jefty Sultzer (24 pts) also made big contributions for the Hornets.

George Conditt nearly pulled off a triple/double in his Trojans victory over Whitfield School.  Conditt’s stat line: 19 pts, 18 rbs and 9 blocks.  Conditt was named the game’s MVP.

Rahim McKee-Strong (14 pts) was a solid scoring threat for the Little Giants against Hillsboro, but he and has DePue teammates fell a little short against the athletic Hawks.  Eddie Moreno led the Little Giants in scoring, with 20 points.

Gaven Pinkley and Michael Brewer were a dynamic duo for the Hillsboro Hawks as they defeated DePue.  Pinkley scored 15 pts, grabbed 9 boards and passed out 7 assists.  Brewer was named the game’s MVP when he scored 25 pts on 10-11 shooting from the field.
